GOAT.Al is a research lab on Human <> AI interactions. The team behind the popular AI app GoatChat.Al. We are working on solving the problems of large language models, including hallucination, mode collapse, and context length limitations.


Responsibilities:

  • Publish research findings in top-tier conferences, journals and blog posts, contributing to the broader AI research community.
  • Stay current with advancements in the field, attending conferences, workshops, and seminars to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Contribute to the formulation of research strategies and roadmaps, helping to shape the future direction of the company's AI initiatives.
  • Design, develop, and evaluate novel generative models and algorithms to advance the state-of-the-art in AI.
  • Work with engineering / business teams on model deployment and customized training.
  • Work with the open-source community on model release and tooling.

Qualifications:

  • Msc/PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Applied Science, or a related field, with a focus on AI, machine learning, or generative models.
  • Have a track record of coming up with new ideas or improving upon existing ideas in machine learning, demonstrated by accomplishments such as first author publications or projects.
  • Possess the ability to own and pursue a research agenda, including choosing impactful research problems and autonomously carrying out long-running projects
  • Strong programming skills in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other relevant frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience with creating Jupyter/Colab notebooks。
  • In-depth understanding of the latest developments and trends in AI, machine learning, and generative models.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and analytically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience with mentoring and supervising junior researchers or students is a plus.
  • Experience with training large models on a compute cluster environment is a plus

Optional skills:

Experience with natural language processing (NLP) or reinforcement learning (RL) is preferred, but not required.
